At Light Oaks Junior School, we aim to provide a learning environment in which children can engage in physical activity to build character and resilience, as well as embedding values such as respect and fairness.
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop the confidence and competence to enjoy physical activity, to develop their skills and interests and to be part of a wider community of active and competitive young people; leading to an active and healthy life.
Congratulations to the school rugby team who won all of their matches in the rugby tournament this week. What a shame that we are not able to represent Salford becuase we did not have enough girls on the team! Come on girls - let's get muddy!
Details about our sport premium funding and how we spend it can be found on the Premium Funding Page.
We are proud to announce that Light Oaks Junior School has received the Sainsbury's School Games Gold Award for our participation in school sport across the school Well done to everyone who has been involved in sport and helped us to acheive this prestigious award!
